How should I split the space between living area and shop?
There's no fixed answer, and we've built this footprint several different ways. A living-majority split (roughly 1,600 living / 800 shop) suits a shop that's a convenience. A closer to even split (1,400 / 1,000) suits real, regular shop work. A shop-majority layout is less common but genuinely workable if the shop is the actual priority. Does the wind engineering change for a 40x60 versus other sizes in Florida?
